13 WEEK LEARN-TO-SKATE SERIES (classes started the week of July 27, 2010) See schedules below Whether you or a family member are an aspiring Olympic/Professional athlete, skating is a great way to get out, have some fun, meet new people and get some cardiovascular exercise! Ice skating is a great way to exercise and have fun at the same time. If you're never tried skating, you're missing some great fun! If you're afraid you can't skate... we've got a skating school program that will help teach you with proper instructions by our qualified Professionals. A staff of qualified professional instructors teach all lessons. Private lessons are available as well. If you are an experienced skater and need help perfecting that stride, classes are also available at the advanced levels. For a brief summary of our instructor's accomplishments, click here. Group Learn to Skate Lessons
Group classes are held continuously throughout the year. A new session begins every 2-3 months. This flexible and extensive schedule enables you to start at your convenience and get continual training throughout the year. A student:teacher relationship of 12:1 will be maintained whenever possible, with the exception of the Tots class which will have a ratio of 8:1. Junior instructors are used to assist with classes whenever necessary and when enrollment exceeds the student:teacher ratio. Classes with less than five skaters registered may be combined with other age groups at the same level. The group classes are structured to teach beginning skaters through more advanced skaters. Groups are divided according to age, level and ability. As achievement steps are reached, students are advanced to the next level. A record of each student's progress is maintained throughout the lesson semester.
