Divisions A & B

Game Format

·        » Three minute warm up.

·        » Clock starts when Zamboni doors close. BE READY!

·        » Three 15-minute stop- time periods.

·        » Off sides: all players must tag up before entering zone to play the puck.

·        »  Red line icing

·        » Penalties—go to penalty box and time will start at the drop of puck.

·        » Three-penalty rule—any player receiving three penalties in one game will be asked to leave for the balance of the game.

 Overtime 

·        »  If still tied, OT will consist of a three-player shoot-out

·        If still tied after a three-player shoot-out the teams will alternate in shooting until one team has the advantage. No player may shoot twice until the entire roster has got though.

·         Any player serving a penalty at the start of the shootout will not be permitted to participate.

 Tournament Rules

·         »  No Double rostering; only exception will be goalies

·         Goalies used for substitution must be at team level or below; cannot use a higher level  
goalie

Suspensions: Any player receiving a game misconduct penalty shall be suspended for a minimum of one game. Any player receiving an intent to injure/Match penalty will be suspended for the remainder of the tournament. The Tournament Director will review all cases involving major penalties, match penalties, game misconducts and gross misconducts. He has the power to suspend or modify the penalties of any guilty players.

·        Fighting: Fighting shall not be tolerated. Any player receiving a fighting penalty will be suspended for the remainder of the tournament.

 Referees

·         » Two officials will be scheduled for all games.

·         » Players are not allowed to confront the officials.

·         » Unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated!

Equipment Required

1. All players must wear full equipment.

2. Helmets must be worn while participating in the game, on the player's bench and in the penalty box. 

3. Protective masks, of HECC approved design, must be worn by all goaltenders. 

Jerseys

1. Each player will wear a jersey of the same color.

2. Each player will wear a number on his/her jersey and this number cannot be duplicated by another player on the roster.

3. All players on the ice must be on the scoresheet prior to the start of every game.

Penalties

• USA Hockey penalties will be enforced.

• The tournament is non-checking and non-fighting.  Any player that participates in a fight or is ejected from a game will be suspended for the remainder of the tournament.

Check-In

1. Please check in with the tournament director prior to your first game.

2. Captains will be asked to sign off on the scoresheet prior to every game.

**The Tournament Director will have the final say on all matters regarding rulings for tournament play.
