Parent/Child Hockey 1:  This one-hour class follows the Hockey 1 curriculum, but is set up for a parent to be on the ice with their child if they wish.  This is a great way to introduce kids to structured hockey classes.   Children are welcome to attend this class by themselves.  Players ages 8 and younger have the option of going directly to the Mites House League after passing Parent/Child Hockey 1.  A parent orientation will be held on the second week of class.

Hockey 1:  This class is geared for new players or for those who have not had formal lessons.   Children who have never skated before should consider taking a Pre-Alpha class through the Learn to Skate Program to learn basic skating skills prior to taking this class.

Hockey 2:  For skaters who have passed Hockey 1 or have comparable skills.

Hockey 3:  For skaters who have passed Hockey 2 or have comparable skills.

Hockey 4:  For skaters who have passed Hockey 3 or have comparable skills.

Information on skills taught in each class are available on upon request.  Since students progress at different rates, sessions are often repeated in order to learn all the skills needed to become a good hockey player.  Attending stick time sessions, taking private lessons and attending public skating sessions will help you improve.

Classes are 13 weeks in duration and are one hour and 15 minutes long.  The first hour includes structured curriculum and games.  The final 15 minutes is pond hockey fun time.  All classes will be conducted in a cross ice format using 1/4, 1/3 or 1/2 of the ice.  Classes of less than five students may be cancelled or combined with another class.

Cost:  $180

The cost is payable upon registration.  A split payment plan is also available and will include a $5 handling fee with $90 due at enrollment and $90 due before June 26th and September 18th.   New hockey program enrollees also receive a Skatetown jersey at the parent orientation.  All pro-rated sign-ups must be made at the front counter.  no cash or check payments allowed with payment plan.  If credit card is declined, there will be a $25 administrative fee added to the program fee payment.
