Spring/Summer 2008 Youth House Hockey League

March 30 - August 24, 2008

Evaluation session will be held on March 30

This is a recreational program with an emphasis on having fun and learning the game of ice hockey.

The season will consist of 20 games and 22 practices.  

There will be no games on April 27, May 25 and July 6.  Make-up for these games will be rescheduled during the season. 

Schedule will be available at the first game. 

Three Divisions: Mite (8 & under), Squirt/PeeWee (9-12 yrs of age) and High School (13-17 yrs). 

The Mite level will be played in the USA Hockey designed cross ice format with no referees or scorekeepers.  Skatetown coaches will referee and oversee play.  The rink will be divided up with "Border Patrol" pads into three sections.

Squirt/PeeWee and High School levels will be played on full ice with referees and scorekeepers.   Games times are one hour.  

Practices will be team practices with two teams sharing the ice.  Practice days may change depending on the registration levels.   

All levels are non-checking. 

Skatetown and USA Hockey Rules will be strictly enforced

Full equipment is required, including mouth guard and HECC-approved helmet with full shield

Cost for the Mites is $535, Squirt/Peewee and High School is $635.  Cost of team jerseys is not included.  Skatetown home & away jerseys, complete with logo and number, must be worn by all players and can be purchased from the Skatetown Pro-Shop.

Payment Plan Option:  

Skatetown offers a payment plan for our Youth Hockey Program.  For Mites the payment plan is $265 down (plus a $20 payment plan fee) and 3 monthly payments of $90.  For Squirt/Peewee and High School, the payment plan is $335 down and 3 monthly payments of $100. 

To qualify for this payment plan, player agrees to play the entire season and pay the entire league fee. A credit card, with valid expiration date and the cardholder’s signature, authorizing Skatetown to charge the account for the final payment when due, is required.  

Registration Procedures:

All players must fill out and sign a registration form and submit it with payment.  Registrations will be accepted during office hours 8:00a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the front desk, 5:00 - 9:00 pm in the Pro-Shop, by mail -- "Attention:  Hockey Department," or by fax at 916-783-9235.  Forms can be printed off our website at www.skatetown.biz.

Players can join at any time and their fee will be pro-rated based upon how many games they've missed.
