Spring/Summer 2008 Adult Hockey League League Begins
April 13, 2008
Full equipment is required, including HECC approved helmet with shield and mouth guard (face shield optional for Gold B, Gold A and Platinum leagues, but highly recommended). All players must be 18 years of age. Days of Play:
* Due to certain leagues increasing in size, an additional day of play may be needed. League Fees: Team fees are $6,300. All teams must be registered and paid before their first game. Players looking for teams will be placed on a Free Agent List and will be contacted by individual team captains. Team fees will be $6,300 and must be paid by your first preseason game. Teams paying a team fee can roster up to 18 skaters and a goalie. Only 15 skaters are permitted on the bench during a game. Each team is required to submit a roster, including player numbers, with their team fee. Only names on that roster will be put on the game score sheet. Only players on the game score sheet may participate in the game. Insurance: Each participant in the Adult Hockey league is expected to have their own medical insurance. Skatetown purchases "secondary medical" insurance with limits of $25,000 and a deductible of $1000, for situations where a participant may not have their own insurance. Claims against this policy must be approved and submitted by Skatetown. Skatetown reserves the right to reject claims for injuries that occur as a result of a violation of league rules such as fighting or failing to wear recommended equipment. Skatetown recommends the following protective equipment: Full face mask or shield, HECC approved helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, ice hockey gloves, ice hockey pants with padding, cup and shin pads. Jerseys: Cost of team jerseys is not included in the league fees. Each team will need to play with a team set of matching jerseys, with numbers. Any player without a matching jersey or number will be excused from the ice. Both light and dark jerseys are required. Evaluation: There will be no evaluation day or draft, unless absolutely necessary. Based on experience, players will be placed at the proper level of play. Management will scout teams the first two preseason games. Based on management's assessment, players and teams will be matched up with other players and teams of equal ability to ensure a fun and challenging experience. If you have questions about the level at which you should play call the Hockey Director at (916) 783-8550 ext. 114. Registration Procedures:
