Skatetown Groups at Skatetown-Roseville

The following group rates do not apply during the afternoon between December 17, 2007 and January 5, 2008. Admission/ skate rental between 12/17/07 and 1/5/08 is $10 per person. No group events are booked on Martin Luther King Jr. Day or Presidents' Day.

If you’re looking for an affordable activity for your group or school, look no further. People of any skating ability can join in the fun. School groups, girl or boy scouts, church groups, home schools, parks & recreation groups, private parties and more!

Group Skate

Skatetown offers group rates on all public skating sessions. Group reservations must be made 10 days in advance and a deposit may be required. Reservations can be made in person or by calling 916.783.8550 ext. 115.

Group rates -

$7 per skater during weekday morning and afternoon sessions
$7 per skater for the Wednesday evening Family Night session
$8 per skater for the Friday evening session
$8 per skater for the Saturday 10am-noon session

Group rates include skate rental. The minimum number of skaters for a group rate is 15 and a $25 deposit is required at time of booking.

There are no group discounts for Saturday afternoon, Saturday evening or Sunday afternoon sessions.

Family rates - skate on Wednesday evenings (7-9 pm) for just $8 per person (includes skate rental). No minimum number of skaters.

Private ice rental is available for your group event, ice hockey team practice, broomball game or figure skating practice. Prices vary according to the type of rental. Contact 916.783.8550 ext. 115 for pricing information.

School Field Trips

1. Education on Ice. This field trip includes a 30-minute interactive presentation on the science of ice, how an ice surface is made and how a Zamboni works. $8 per skater/includes skate rental. Minimum of 50 skaters.

2. Just for fun skating. $7 per skater/includes skate rental. Minimum of 15 skaters.

Field trip options include:

Friendly staff to tie skates
Experienced skate guards on the ice to assist your skaters
EZ Gliders for kids and adults to help beginning skaters
A mound of snow where students can build a snowman and play in the snow
Plenty of time to ice skate, play games and enjoy the disco light show

School field trips can be scheduled Monday—Friday from 9 am—12 noon or afternoons from 2 – 5 pm. Skatetown also has a full-service café for lunch and snacks.
